Support the Prophet's mission: Support Radio Islam
Assalamu alaikum:
According to most reports, our beloved Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, was born today, the 12th of the Islamic month of Rabi al Awwal. In his last sermon, he advised the Muslims to pass on his message. He said: "All those who listen to me shall pass on my words to others and those to others again; and may the last ones understand my words better than those who listened to me directly."
The Prophet used all means at his disposal to reach out to others, reminded us to speak to people according to every individual's level of understanding. Radio Islam is one medium that has successfully done that for the last three years. It is the only daily Muslim radio program in the nation. Its audience is 50 percent non-Muslim and it has hosted leading intellectuals, activists and movers and shakers from all walks of life from Nobel Prize winner Shirin Ebadi to leading intellectual Noam Chomsky. Congressman Danny Davis has said on air that he listens to it daily.
Please support the Prophet's mission of engagement and communication by supporting Radio Islam and attending its fundraising dinner on Saturday April 5, 2008 in Chicago. Our speaker this year is Mairead Maguire, a Nobel Peace Prize winner who faced bullets from the Israeli army for supporting Palestine during a non-violent demonstratoin and successfully brought warring parties together in her native Northern Ireland in the 1970s. Tickets are just $50 and can be purchased online at www.soundvision.com or call 1-800-432-4262. Tickets are available at the Mosque Foundation, Downtown Islamic Center and at Sound Vision stores.
Support the Prophet's mission. Support Radio Islam.
Wassalam,
Abdul Malik Mujahid
